Nearshore software development, on your clock.

Dallio is a nearshore product engineering team in Ensenada, México — two hours south of San Diego, on Pacific Time. We build custom web and mobile apps, AI features, and automations for US companies, and we own what we ship.

What nearshore actually buys you.

Nearshore means your development team is in a nearby country, not a nearby-sounding one. The difference shows up in the small mechanics of a project: a question asked at 10 a.m. is answered at 10:05, not tomorrow. A design review happens on a call, not in a thread that spans two nights.

With an offshore team ten or twelve hours ahead, every round trip costs a day, and the project quietly becomes asynchronous whether you wanted that or not. On your clock, iteration stays live — which is most of what makes short feedback loops possible.

Our studio is in Ensenada, on the Pacific coast of Baja California, México. That puts us on Pacific Time all year — the border region observes daylight saving on the same dates as the US — and a real visit is a drive down the coast from San Diego, not a long-haul flight.

Proximity also means the get-to-know-you phase can happen at a whiteboard instead of over a screen — and that changes how fast trust builds at the start of a project.

Nearshore, but not staff augmentation.

Most nearshore firms sell one of two things: offshore-style project outsourcing moved closer, or staff augmentation — individual developers rented into your org chart, with the coordination burden left on your side. We deliberately do neither.

Dallio takes ownership of a build or a product area. You bring the problem; we bring the architecture, the code, the infrastructure, and the accountability for whether it works — through launch and after it. You work directly with the engineers, in English, on your tools and your schedule. It is the working relationship you would have with a good in-house team, at a two-hour drive instead of down the hall.

What we take on.

Full product builds

From problem statement to production: web, mobile, backend, and infrastructure as one accountable scope.

Web and mobile apps

SaaS products, customer portals, and iOS/Android apps that share one backend and ship to real users.

AI features and agents

Assistants, agents, semantic search, and document pipelines integrated into existing products.

Automation and integrations

The workflows your team does by hand today, turned into systems that run unattended.

Existing codebases

Audits, rescues, and takeovers — we tell you what state the code is in, then stabilize or migrate it.

Cloud infrastructure

Google Cloud architecture and operations, backed by an official partner relationship.

Work we've shipped.

Recent builds across SaaS, mobile, hospitality, and operations — each one a real product in production.

Common questions.

What is nearshore software development?

Hiring a development team in a nearby country instead of one many time zones away. For US companies that usually means Mexico or Latin America: the working day overlaps, travel is short, and collaboration happens live instead of through overnight handoffs.

Where is Dallio's team located?

In Ensenada, Baja California, México — about two hours south of San Diego, on Pacific Time year round. The whole team is in one place, not scattered across subcontractors.

How is nearshore different from offshore?

Time zones, mostly. An offshore team ten or twelve hours away works while you sleep, so every question costs a day. A nearshore team on your clock answers in minutes, joins your standups, and can meet in person without crossing an ocean.

Do you augment our team or replace it?

Neither, exactly. We take ownership of a build or a product area — architecture, code, infrastructure, and delivery — and work alongside your people. What we do not do is rent out individual developers by the hour.

What time zone overlap do we get?

Full overlap with the US West Coast — our studio runs on Pacific Time and observes daylight saving on the same dates as the United States — and most of the working day with the East Coast.
